Margaret Schultz
Operations and Programming Manager
Margaret has been the Operations and Programming Manager at the NRM since January 2022. She holds an MA Public History from Western University and a BA History from the University of Alberta, specializing in Western Canadian history. She oversees everything we do at the NRM. Highlights from her time with us include successful archives and collections projects, epic axe throwing and murder mystery events, hosting hundreds of local student visits, and getting to know the wonderful volunteers who have made the museum their own. When she's not museuming, look for Margaret on the skiing or hiking trails around Hinton!
Marta Hutchinson
Program Development Coordinator
Marta is excited about the opportunity to intern at the Northern Rockies Museum. She recently graduated from Briercrest College with a BA in History and is working to gain further experience in the museum field.
She particularly enjoys interacting with visitors from around the world and hearing their stories, and she looks forward to exploring and learning more about the Hinton area.
Marta is on our team from September 2025 - March 2026. Her position is funded by Young Canada Works in Building Careers in Heritage, Yellowhead County Heritage Program, and TransMountain Community Investment. We’re grateful for these organizations who provide grants to make these opportunities possible!
